Our Founder's Story

Passionate entrepreneur Shone was anxious while managing his 10 micro-companies in Asia. Realising that his businesses wouldn’t scale if he didn’t make a change in his perspective and that it’s hard to survive in this challenging and agile time, Shone set out on a journey to find innovative ways to grow his small companies to the next level.

He eventually came across the book “Measure What Matters” by John Doerr. After reading it, he understood how to conduct employee performance assessments, what levels to coach for, and how to measure success numerically. The book helped him develop a new level of confidence as an entrepreneur and he is convinced that any company that adopts the OKR tools and framework will be able to achieve spectacular success.

In 2019, Shone and Bernard founded DoerHRM with the goal of helping small business owners and entrepreneurs stay focused on their most important goals, improve their employee productivity, and build a high-performing team.

As the solution started to mature, DoerHRM began onboarding a publicly-traded company, small businesses, and a variety of other Asian companies from various industries. Now, DoerHRM has also expanded into foreign markets such as Southeast Asia, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and others.
